Before using the AEGIS website, the AEGIS platform and the AEGIS mobile application (hereafter collectively “AEGIS”), please read carefully the Terms of Use.
The Terms of Use of AEGIS (hereafter Terms of Use) apply to the use of and access to this website, in any aspect and facet.
By using the website and the services of AEGIS, users indicate that they have read and understood the Terms of Use as described below and agree unconditionally to abide by them. AEGIS shall have the right, at any time and without notice, to change or to modify these Terms of Use, by posting the change/modification to the website of AEGIS. The use of AEGIS after such posting shall constitute acceptance by the users of these Terms of Use as modified.
The use of the AEGIS has to comply with the law and the Terms of Use. The use of and access of AEGIS is permitted only for/reserved only to the fulfilment of its aims, such as prevention, or other related lawful purposes, such as scientific research or educational purposes.
Users should not use AEGIS in any manner that could damage, disable or disturb the operation of AEGIS and/or restrict or inhibit other users from using AEGIS (and its services). The further use and/or reuse of data is subject to conditions and restrictions of the applicable regulatory framework.
Τhe University of the Aegean retains all ownership and other rights in the AEGIS.
The rights with regard to the content of website, platform and applications of AEGIS are subject to applicable Greek intellectual and industrial property law. Without prejudice to research and educational purposes, any modification, publication, performance, reproduction, distribution, transmission, transfer or any other use or exploitation of the content, the platform and the applications of AEGIS, in whole or in part, is not allowed without the written permission of the right-holder.
Users who contribute (with) content or applications warrant and represent that they are the right-holders of intellectual property rights or that the right-holder of said rights has granted permission. AEGIS disclaims and is not liable for the infringement of intellectual property rights on content or applications that have been contributed by users.
Users, who contribute content or applications warrant that they do not infringe rights of third persons/parties, included the right to personal data protection.
AEGIS examines requests, complaints and charges that are submitted by involved and/or affected persons and deal with them in accordance with applicable law.
In the event of breach of the law and/or any of these Terms, AEGIS maintains the right either to remove the illegal content or to immediately delete the account of the user who is not complying with the law and/or these Terms or to restrict the user’s access.
The content and services of AEGIS are offered to visitors/users on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
AEGIS does not warrant or represent that its services and applications will be uninterrupted or error-free. AEGIS is not liable for any errors, omissions or other defects in, delays or interruptions in the provision of data or for any action related to the exploitation of these data or derived therefrom.
AEGIS makes every possible effort to operate in a scientifically accurate and technically seamless and safe manner. AEGIS disclaims and it is not liable for the accuracy, adequacy and completeness, and updating of data. AEGIS disclaims all warranties with respect to the content, information, material, features/characteristics, services, goods, applications, opinions and statements that are provided or formulated by AEGIS or its users.
AEGIS makes no warranties with respect to the content and the operation of any site made available/accessible by AEGIS and/or any linked site.
For many or all of the data, the data are by their nature approximate and will contain some inaccuracies. The data introduced by the data provider(s) or by the AEGIS may contain errors.
Any information created through the AEGIS should be used while taking into consideration that are products of modeling and computational procedures with assumptions, limitations that may lead to variable accuracy/precision and natural variability.
The content, features and outputs of AEGIS are provided to the visitors/users exclusively for informative use and cannot substitute professional judgment by the trained personnel of civil protection and other agencies as well as experts of competent authorities.

AEGIS disclaims and is not liable for miscalculations and/or error judgments or assessments. These terms of AEGIS are governed by and construed in accordance with Greek Law.
